Autolifters Arrested by Janak Puri Police Team

Delhi – In a major breakthrough, the police team of PS Janak Puri successfully apprehended two notorious auto-lifters during a routine patrolling operation. The arrested individuals, identified as Jitender alias Jittu and Nikhil alias Anurag alias Nikki, have a history of multiple criminal involvements. With their arrest, the police have recovered a stolen motorcycle and a stolen scooty, effectively solving two criminal cases.

Incident, Team, and Apprehension

On the night of February 11, 2025, Head Constables (HC) Naresh and Surender were conducting their routine patrolling duty near Janak Cinema, Janak Puri. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Inspector Kuldeep, SHO Janak Puri, and overall guidance of Ms. Niraj Tokas, ACP Rajouri Garden.

During their patrol, the officers noticed two individuals behaving suspiciously while riding a motorcycle. Acting on their instincts, they signaled the duo to stop and conducted a thorough verification of their vehicle. Upon checking, the motorcycle was found to be stolen from the PS Inderpuri area. Further questioning and investigation led to the recovery of another stolen vehicle, a scooty, from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  1. Jitender alias Jittu (22 years), son of Rakesh Bhatti, resident of Bhagwati Vihar, Gulam Masjid Bindapur, Delhi. He has previously been involved in two criminal cases.
  2. Nikhil alias Anurag alias Nikki (23 years), son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Nand Ram Park, Maharbir Enclave, Delhi. He has a criminal record with fifteen previous cases registered against him.

Recovered Items

  • One stolen motorcycle.
  • One stolen scooty.

Cases Worked Out

With the arrest of the accused, the following cases have been successfully solved:

  1. FIR No. 039745/24 under Section 305(B) BNS, registered at PS Inderpuri.
  2. FIR No. 002164/25 under Section 305(B) BNS, registered at PS Janak Puri.

Ongoing Investigation

The police are currently conducting further investigations to uncover additional criminal activities linked to the arrested individuals. Authorities are also probing whether the accused were part of a larger vehicle theft network operating in the city.
